TEFL Course Modules and Materials
Your course books and materials are issued to you on receipt of payment, along with a handy briefcase style bag.
There are 6 copyrighted modules in the course, which will also serve as the basis for your reading inside and outside of the training room.
- Module 1: Teacher Orientation. outlines the objectives, requirements and benefits of the TEFL certificate course.
- Module 2: The Need for Grammatical Knowledge by the EFL Teacher – providing an insight into the correct use of course books and textbook materials, and key grammatical points and structures to be presented. Teaching a business conversation course and using dialogues.
- Module 3: Differences between Thai and other Asian languages and English as the origin of many learning problems. A detailed look at how Thai differs from English and how to overcome typical Thai and Asia learner problems.
- Module 4: Teaching English successfully to Foreign Learners – this big component of the course includes learner motivation, and how to get the best from your learners, successful lesson planning; and effective classroom techniques.
- Module 5: English Grammar. A detailed explanation of English grammar and how it relates to Asian learner needs
- Module 6: Teaching in the “Real World” – full of practical tips, guidelines, time filler activities for use in the classroom. Special section on teaching children and how to teach a mixed level group.
These modules contain a wealth of information and go beyond the scope and sequence of the certificate course, as they are intended to provide you with further self development and continued language awareness, well after you have completed your TEFL course.
