WECI Teachers

Our teachers are committed to the WECI philosophy of "producing learning" rather than "providing teaching" - with the teacher's role seen as "the guide on the side" not the "sage on the stage" (lecture style) so often found in the traditional classroom.

Our degree/TEFL qualified native English teachers come from English speaking countries across the globe. In Hua Hin it is important to offer the learner exposure to a range of accents and dialects, due to the wide variety of foreign visitors and residents in the area, from Australasia, Britain, Europe and North America.

We also employ qualified and experienced native Thai teachers for our Thai language classes. These teachers are familiar with the TEFL methodology used in our English classrooms and also speak English.

WECI Teacher Profile

WECI instructors are qualified, dedicated, caring individuals who feel comfortable with the communicative approach to teaching and who are willing to prepare their own materials when they feel a course book falls short or existing material is inappropriate.

Flexibility, enthusiasm, dedication and motivation are key qualities along with a desire to improve their own teaching styles through further development and regular teacher's meetings.

Instructors also need to be organized in order to complete the necessary paperwork by the required deadlines - i.e. Lesson Plans, Teaching records and Student Progress Reports. It helps to be computer literate, familiar with either Microsoft Word or Excel
